Vanessa Guillén - Stirring Up Painful Memories

The tragic experience in the news regarding Army Specialist Vanessa Guillén touches us all and for many of us, it has stirred up some painful memories.

Whether you experienced sexual harassment or sexual assault during your military service or some other time in your life, know that you are not at fault, you are not alone. Know that you are worthy, you are precious, you deserve better and there are safe places to seek support and assistance, places to heal.

If you have been assaulted or harassed, even if you are still on active duty, you have a right to speak up. Don't believe the culture that says you have to "suck it up" or "sweep it under the rug".

Please reach out to your local VA clinic, church, or message us here and we'll do our best to connect you to someone who can help.
